Joshua Wheatley is a musculoskeletal practitioner, working in both the private sector and the NHS in the musculoskeletal Clinical assessment and treatment services (CATS). As an extended scope physiotherapist (ESP) Joshua provides patients with direct access to expert musculoskeletal assessment, point of care diagnostic ultrasound scans and a wide array of ultrasound guided interventions depending on the underlying pathology. Enhancing diagnosis and patient understanding as well as ensuring where appropriate accurate and safe placement of any required injections.
Joshua remains focused on the attainment of best health, understanding that a correct diagnosis is fundamental to this principle, allowing patients to be put on the right clinical pathway as quickly as possible. Joshua, through a clinical assessment combined (where suitable) with point of care ultrasound (POCUS) is able to diagnose a large degree of musculoskeletal conditions, put these findings in a clinical context to advise on appropriate treatment and prognosis. Where this is not possible, Joshua will guide patients in order for them to reach such answers.
